It aims to enhance quality in European higher education and to promote intercultural understanding through co-operation with third-countries See more on the Erasmus Mundus web site.
EMARO has been successfully implemented over a five-year period (2008-2012) with funding from the Erasmus Mundus Programme, and re-applied for funding in 2013. However, as a result of the highly competitive nature of the selection and the limited budget available, this course was not re-selected. As a consequence no Erasmus Mundus scholarships will be available for the 2014/2015 intake. As EMARO has demonstrated high quality throughout, and has therefore been awarded by the European Commission/EACEA an Erasmus Mundus Brand Name (EMBN) by which it commits itself to maintain the requirements and level of excellence expected from an Erasmus Mundus Masters Course.
